WUE Open House 2024
On November 5th, we hosted our biennial Open House in St. George, UT, marking our second year in this location. The event was a resounding success, with an incredible turnout of approximately 70 valued members and 25 vendors. The event featured a catered lunch and prize drawings, providing vendors with an opportunity to showcase their current and upcoming products. It also served as a platform for manufacturers and customers to discuss the industry's current challenges, including supply chain constraints, inflation-driven pricing, and material planning. Attendance exceeded last year’s numbers in St. George, and we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees.
We’re excited to host this event again in 2026!
Employee Spotlight
Meet Joshua "Crash" Harris, a dedicated and dynamic member of the Western United Electrical Supply team for the past seven years. Joshua's journey with us began in the warehouse, where he spent his first three years pulling customer orders and loading trucks for delivery. This hands-on experience with the material sparked his interest in electrical distribution, setting the stage for his future growth.
In 2020, Joshua's hard work and passion were recognized with a promotion to inside sales. In this role, he services multiple distribution members and municipalities, as well as other distributors across the country. Over the last four years, Joshua's knowledge and enthusiasm have continued to grow. He has built strong relationships with everyone at the utilities, from warehousemen and purchasers to line superintendents and engineers.
Joshua's background is as diverse as it is impressive. Before joining Western United Electrical Supply, he served as a United States Air Force Reserve Security Forces fire team member. He also gained valuable experience during a two-year stint in the food distribution field. His unique blend of skills and commitment to excellence make him an indispensable asset to our team.
Outside of work, Joshua loves spending time with his three children and his wife of four years. His hobbies include flying R/C airplanes, as evidenced by the multiple aircraft hanging from his office ceiling. He also has a passion for art, ranging from woodworking to watercolors.
We are proud to spotlight Joshua "Crash" Harris and celebrate his contributions to Western United Electrical Supply. His journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and the pursuit of knowledge. Here's to many more years of success and growth with us!
