WESTERN UNITED RANKS #3 Nationally in SALES PER EMPLOYEE

Electrical Wholesaling magazine’s June 2023 edition has named Western United as the #3 distributor in the U.S. as measured by sales per employee. Sales per employee is a key indicator of how lean and efficient an organization conducts its business. The ranking is based on calendar year 2022 results with sales of $4.8 Million per employee. The ranking is down from the #1 position in 2021. Although WUE’s Sales Per Employee ranking was down, our performance increased 23% from $3.9M in sales per employee last year to $4.8M in 2022. This is the 17th consecutive year that WUE has been named as one of the top three ranked companies in this category. This accomplishment is also a testament to the strong commitment that our members have shown in purchasing their electric utility, construction & maintenance materials, tools and supplies from the company that they own. In addition to the #3 ranking, WUE is also ranked #54 in the country in terms of overall sales up from #55 last year.

Employee Spotlight

Meet Kelli Bonds

Kelli joined Western United in November of 2016 and has been a valuable member of the accounting team. After attending CSU and obtaining her bachelor’s in finance she worked as a business manager for several non-profits here in Colorado. In addition to that she worked for a CPA firm as a staff accountant before coming to WUE. Kelli brought significant knowledge and experience with her and always comes into the office with a positive attitude. Kelli is a Colorado native and grew up in Strasburg, and still lives there today. She has two children Liliann (19) and Giovanni (17) that keep her very busy. When Kelli is not working, she enjoys spending time camping, and being outdoors. She loves to spend time with her family and friends.
